In November 2018, the Inspection for Health and Care, IVO, initiated a review of treatment times regarding cases concerning children and young people in the municipality of Strömsund.

IVO is now demanding further measures from the municipality, as the number of cases with a longer processing time than four months has increased during 2020. In February, 41 of 92 ongoing investigations had been ongoing for more than four months.

IVO now requires that the Social Committee in Strömsund by 31 July report to what extent it meets the requirements. In addition, the Board shall report on the measures that have been taken to reduce the investigation times.
