The Ministry of Community Development told Emirates Today that the Ministry of Social Security in the Ministry agreed to 223 new social assistance requests, and to increase the value of social assistance to 159 who are eligible for social security during this April.
She assured «Emirates Today» that there are a number of requests that do not meet the conditions for entitlement to financial aid, and that some groups do not have experience in using electronic and smart channels to obtain government services.
She said that she faces a challenge in providing the service to a very limited number of emergency cases, which have difficulty in electronic communication with her, which necessitated receiving her at the Happiness Centers of her clients, after reserving an appointment to attend to prevent the increase in the number of customers in the centers, pointing to taking preventive measures in Centers.
The Ministry explained that it faces a challenge as a result of receiving a number of social assistance requests that do not meet the requirements of the Social Security Law, noting that it continues to educate individuals about the conditions and regulations that must be met to obtain social assistance.
She added that there are 130 employees who follow the electronic services of Social Security Department customers daily, in light of taking precautionary measures that require reducing the number of auditors in the centers affiliated with the Ministry, in implementation of the precautionary measures taken in the state.
The Ministry pointed to a large increase in the number of applications, especially at the beginning of this month, explaining that the number of requests for social assistance, within only two weeks in the "remote work system" period, is almost equal to the number of applications in the first three months of this year.
She pointed out that her latest statistics showed that the number of requests for social assistance, which were registered through its website and smart applications, reached 559 requests in 82 days (since the first of January until March 23 last), while the number of requests for the same service, in the period between March 24 The last and April 10, i.e. during the entire application period for remote work, 509 requests.
The Ministry stated that it has started implementing the digital transformation system, by providing a package of e-government services, to meet the needs of customers in a sustainable and effective manner, since the commencement of work remotely, and calling for commitment to homes and not visiting the happiness centers for customers, in the interest of safety and public health, pointing to receiving Call Center 9365 calls between 15 March and 9 April. And she confirmed that she was able in the current period to implement procedures for automatic periodic updating of 3000 cases, and exempt her from visiting the happiness centers for customers, particularly the categories of senior citizens and people of determination, while allowing other groups the option to send the required documents through electronic services and the call center.
The ministry said that it has taken a series of precautionary measures, measures and initiatives, in light of the emerging conditions to limit the spread of the Corona virus, to enhance and facilitate the survival of all groups of society in homes, by adopting a series of measures to reduce the number of auditors of its centers, who benefit from its services from senior citizens and owners Alhamm, productive families and young people to marry, and others.
She added that the procedures included relying on digital documents, not receiving any paper documents, and directing everyone to use electronic and smart channels, in order to facilitate access to services for various groups of society, in addition to adopting a smart mechanism on "periodic updating" for the beneficiaries, to avoid reviewing service centers for the happiness of dealers.
