On Saturday, SVT was able to report that 11 of the 32 pubs that Stockholm city controlled during Friday night received a note, that is a warning that they did not maintain the rules on reduced congestion.

Now, the City of Stockholm's environmental management announces that five cases will be forwarded to Smittskydd Stockholm, where an infection protection doctor will make the final decision on closure or not.

"It's about general congestion, too many people sitting too close to both the outdoor seating and inside the premises," says Peter Brådenmark, unit manager at Stockholm City's environmental management.

After a pub or restaurant receives a complaint, the municipality's inspectors make a return visit to see if the deficiencies have been rectified - if not, the business receives another complaint.

The taverns that have received at least two comments are further reported to Smittskydd Stockholm.
