On Saturday, SVT Nyheter was able to report that eleven of the 32 pubs that the city of Stockholm checked during Friday night received a remark, that is a warning that they did not live up to the new rules on reduced congestion.

Stockholm City's environmental management now announces that five taverns risk temporary closure. The cases will be forwarded to Infection Protection Stockholm, the region's infection protection unit, where an infection protection physician will make the final decision.

"It's about general congestion, too many people who sit too tightly both on the outdoor seating and inside the premises," says Peter Brådenmark, unit manager at Stockholm City's environmental management.

Two remarks - then the infection protection assessment awaits

After a pub or restaurant receives a note, the municipality makes a return visit. If there is still too much congestion, the tavern gets another note and is really at risk.

- I presume that the infection control physician closes the activities that do not take the necessary measures, says environmental citizen Katarina Luhr to SVT.

Another ten taverns receive a warning

Peter Bradenmark emphasizes that the five taverns that risk being closed may not necessarily be among the eleven that received comment during Friday.

On Saturday, new inspections were also carried out in Stockholm night, this time on Södermalm and other parts of the inner city. A total of 25 checks were carried out, of which another ten operations received a note.

- I can't say exactly when Smittskydd Stockholm has made its assessment clear, but they handle the cases quickly, says Peter Brådenmark.
