After a teacher with covid-19 died and ten more cases of the disease were found at the school in Kåge, the guardians question whether the school management had not been able to provide more information in the past.

Several have responded after SVT News Västerbotten told us Friday that a teacher had died.

- We thought for several weeks that it was just about cunning and that people stayed at home to follow the recommendations of the Public Health Authority, says a mother.

Rumors are spreading

But rumors started to go. They got worse and worse. Tasks roamed social media.

- I had wished they had been more open in the past and believe that we all have a lot to gain from collaborating between the municipality, the school and the custodians, says one parent.

Some see this as yet another example that shows a culture of silence that employees testified in Skellefteå.

Others do not agree.

"Extremely difficult situation"

- It is difficult to inform about what you do not know anything about, for example, says a staff at the school who think that the school management has done what it can in this difficult situation.

Head of School Anders Bergström replies:

- The information that we have had available we have gone out with and in such an extremely difficult situation I understand that there are those who think we are wrong, but we really try to do as much right as possible.
