Coronavirus victims in Italy have risen to 26,644, an increase of 260 in one day. It is the lowest figure recorded for over 40 days: on March 15, in fact, there were 368 deaths in 24 hours while the day before it was 175. Yesterday the increase had been 415. The figure was disclosed by Civil protection. 

To date, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 197,675, an increase compared to yesterday of 2,324 new cases. The total number of currently positive is 106,103, an increase of 256 assisted compared to yesterday.

After five days in a row the drop in coronavirus patients stops. On Saturday there had been a drop of 680 patients. The declining trend of coronavirus intensive care admissions continues. Among the currently positive 2,009 are being treated in intensive care, with a decrease of 93 patients compared to yesterday. Of these, 706 are in Lombardy, 18 fewer than yesterday. 21,372 people are hospitalized with symptoms, with a decrease of 161 patients compared to yesterday. 82,722 people, equal to 78% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms. The total number of those discharged and recovered rises to 64,928, an increase of 1,808 people compared to yesterday. 

In detail, there are currently 35,166 in Lombardy, 15,519 in Piedmont, 12,341 in Emilia Romagna, 9,138 in Veneto, 6,069 in Tuscany, 3,480 in Liguria, 4,573 in Lazio, 3,308 in the Marche, 2,924 in Campania, 2,937 in Puglia, 1,682 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 2,107 in Sicily, 1,248 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 2,068 in Abruzzo, 994 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 296 in Umbria, 783 in Sardinia, 254 in Valle d'Aosta, 797 in Calabria, 219 in Basilicata and 200 in Molise.

From the data of the Civil Protection it emerges, in detail, that there are 35,166 patients in Lombardy (693 more than yesterday), 12,341 in Emilia-Romagna (-6), 15,519 in Piedmont (+17), 9,138 in Veneto (-294 ), 6,069 in Tuscany (-77), 3,480 in Liguria (+47), 3,308 in the Marche (+36), 4,573 in Lazio (+12), 2,924 in Campania (-11), 1,682 in the Province of Trento (-62 ), 2,937 in Puglia (+18), 1,248 in Friuli Venezia Giulia (+164), 2,107 in Sicily (-165), 2,068 in Abruzzo (+7), 994 in the province of Bolzano (-41), 296 in Umbria ( -1), 783 in Sardinia (-11), 797 in Calabria (-14), 254 in Valle d'Aosta (-59), 219 in Basilicata (+1), 200 in Molise (+2).

As for the victims, there are 13,325 in Lombardy (+56), 3,386 in Emilia-Romagna (+39), 2,823 in Piedmont (+56), 1,315 in Veneto (+27), 778 in Tuscany (+18), 1,114 in Liguria (+21), 879 in the Marche (+5), 389 in Lazio (+2), 345 in Campania (+4), 405 in the province of Trento (+5), 399 in Puglia (+8), 264 in Friuli Venezia Giulia (+1), 228 in Sicily (+4), 295 in Abruzzo (+2), 269 in the province of Bolzano (+4), 64 in Umbria (+1), 109 in Sardinia (+6) , 80 in Calabria (+0), 131 in Valle d'Aosta (+1), 25 in Basilicata (+0), 21 in Molise (+0). To date 1,757,659 swabs have been carried out, involving a total of 1,210,639 people. The increase in the number of swabs compared to yesterday is 49,916.
