The pillar of Montpellier and the XV of France Mohamed Haouas, suspended three weeks for a punch against Scotland in Tournament of the six nations, "can serve this sanction during the confinement", indicated the French federation Saturday.

The 25-year-old, who had his first four selections in Blue during the Tournament, will be able to replay "as soon as the sport season resumes", when the sanitary conditions linked to the pandemic of new coronavirus allow it, confirmed the FFR in a statement.

On March 8, Haouas was expelled just before the break on the 4th day of the Tournament for striking the third line of the Chardon thistle Jamie Ritchie in the face.

France had lost in Edinburgh (28-17) after having won its first three matches against England, Italy and Wales ... before the end of European sport due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which notably led to the suspension of the Top 14 since March 13.
