While the countries affected by the coronavirus plunge into the crisis, Louis Gallois, president of the federation of solidarity actors, who is also chairman of the supervisory board of PSA and former boss of the SNCF and Airbus, alert on Europe 1 on the situation of the poorest in France, who must not be forgotten.

INTERVIEW

"The crisis is exposing poverty, and the precarious pay more than their share of the crisis - we have seen it since the beginning of this confinement", laments Europe 1 Louis Gallois, president of the federation of solidarity actors , who is also chairman of the supervisory board of PSA and former boss of SNCF and Airbus. As the countries affected by the coronavirus plunge into the crisis, it warns of the situation of the poorest in France, who must not be forgotten.

State support must "continue beyond May 11"

According to Louis Gallois, with the crisis, "the situation will remain very critical in the months to come", this is why he urges the State to continue to support the most disadvantaged. Because "the crisis translates for the most deprived in a particularly brutal way", he recalls by adding that "we even saw hunger appear", in reference to associations which now organize food banks in an informal way .

"Today, things are a little better. Associations have reopened a large number of centers, like Restos du Coeur which, I believe, are at 1,400 centers open out of 1,700. The State itself has put resources: 100,000 service vouchers have been distributed, 100,000 more will arrive ", details Louis Gallois. "But what concerns us is that it must continue beyond May 11," warns the president of the federation of solidarity actors.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> Can France hope for a more favorable scenario than Italy?

> Are women and people with blood type O more resistant?

> Are certain serious forms linked to a genetic factor?

> How will the distribution of masks take place in France?

> Back to school on May 11: under what conditions?

> How to keep sleep during confinement?

Because the weaknesses that affect the poorest will not, he says, stop on May 11. "This support will have to continue in the form of a service voucher beyond May 11," asks Louis Gallois. As for the masks to protect the population, he would like to recall that everyone must be equipped, "including those who are on the street. We will have to make an extremely important collective effort".
