25 April 2020The Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Dario Franceschini interviewed by the newspaper la Repubblica said that "in May, not from 4 but later, those museums and archaeological sites capable of respecting the safety requirements indicated by the scientific committee will be able to reopen ", such as Pompeii or the Colosseum.

On the showwho is experiencing a deep crisis, reflects: "We are discussing with the experts, but the last ones will inevitably be the places where many people should be in a limited space, indoors or outdoors. I wish it was clear, however, that no theater, no cinema , no artist will be left alone. We started with the first extraordinary resources from the most defenseless, those with the lowest incomes ". As for the Netflix-like culture project, "we are working with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti - confirmed the minister - on a platform where we can offer, for a fee, what we cannot, for now, offer in theaters. So production can continue and ticket revenue won't stop. "

The Minister announces a plan to promote tourism, "Journey to Italy", because "from the first day I fight to explain that tourism is the most affected sector - the minister underlines - for this reason I ask the government tables for specific and extraordinary measures in the next decree, from the tax credits for leases and to compensate for the loss of turnover, to resources both for the adaptation and sanitation of structures and for promotion ".

Franceschini confirms that a bonus is being worked on "to help people with dependent and low-middle-income children go on vacation", but "it is too early to say whether it will be € 500 per family or a lower figure but person". "The idea of the bonus is that of a tool to help people with dependent children and middle - low income to go on vacation, providing them with a sum to spend in tourist facilities, from hotels to bathing establishments. A way to helping businesses and families together.

Regarding the feared increases in train, ferry and plane tickets, he explains: "There must be no increases and we are aiming for tourism accessible to all". On the resources he adds: "I am convinced that the Council of ministers will consider the specificity of the tourism crisis. And it is very important that the European Council has already recognized this specificity, which will bring a significant part of the enormous sum of the Recovery Fund to tourism ".

When asked how long the closure of borders will last given the impact on foreign tourism, he replies:" It will depend on the epidemiological trend and the choices of the States. I attended the Tourism G20 yesterday and will have the meeting of EU ministers on Monday. The concerns and the desire to leave are the same for everyone, but international tourism this year will not be there. Hence the "Travel to Italy" plan for a large investment in domestic tourism, proximity. "

Finally, the Minister rejected the idea of going to the sea with plexiglass booths ." I saw this idea of plexiglass and I find it horrible and frankly impractical. I asked the scientific committee to indicate prescriptions for beaches, distances between umbrellas, sanitization, to give bathing establishments time to organize themselves. Then we have to face the issue of checks on free beaches. "As for the mountains," here too there will be rules to be respected - he said - but certainly the mountain has large spaces and the problems will be concentrated in shelters and plants.

The new Mibact portal "Partisans of Italy" is online for the 75th anniversary of April 25th.
For the Liberation Day Minister Franceschini also spoke about the launch of the new portal "Partisans of Italy"  www.partigianiditalia.beniculturali.it.

"It is essential to work to keep the lesson of the Resistance alive and current, to continue to be aware of the drama of what has happened and to honor those who fought to restore Italy's freedom," said Franceschini. "Memory is the only antidote to the possible consequences of the fears of our time, which trigger instincts and tensions that would never have thought would return to Europe and in many parts of the world. For this reason on the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy, which occurs at such a particular moment, it is important to provide the tools to remember and treasure the past ".

The portal allows you to consult the cards relating to requests for recognition of partisan qualifications kept at the Central State Archive in the "Archive for the qualification recognition service and for partisan rewards" fund. The portal is the result of a project undertaken by the Central Institute for Archives in 2017, on the impetus of the General Directorate of Archives of MiBACT, in collaboration with the Scuola Normale Superiore, the Piedmontese Institute for the history of the Resistance and contemporary society "Giorgio Agosti" (Istoreto), and the Institute national Ferruccio Parri, to enhance this important and little exploited documentary source and contribute both to the study of the history of the Italian Resistance, and to the knowledge of the women and men who participated in the liberation struggle.

The project started with the digitization of the 703,716 name cards of the Ricompart fund and continued with the creation of a national database based on these cards and with the development of study and research activities to deepen the knowledge of this archival source. The Partisans of Italy portal makes the information from the files available for consultation together with a broad framework of contributions that illustrate the context and the events from which they originate.

In the preview of the portal which will last from 25 April until 2 May 2020, it is possible to consult the data relating to approximately 205,000 cards, addressed to individual people, with personal data and news on the activities carried out in the partisan formations and in the other voluntary bodies. It is a valuable documentary source that summarizes the identification data of the interested parties and brief information on the recognition process. The entire Portal will be made permanently accessible starting from 8 September 2020, when it will also be possible to consult the digital reproductions of the original cards. Minister Franceschini also expressed appreciation for the project "The paths of liberation in Italy", promoted by the association Liberation Route Italia to create a path of almost 1500 km across the entire peninsula dedicated to the places of the partisan war , on the model of what already created at European level by the Liberation Route Europe foundation.
