Arsenal players will be allowed to return to their London Colney training ground from next week, the English club announced on Saturday, stressing that this will be done in strict compliance with health guidelines to combat the spread coronavirus.

"Players will have access to our London Colney training grounds next week," said a club spokesperson.

But "access will remain limited, carefully managed and social distance will be maintained at all times," he said.

Concretely, the Gunners will be able to train individually on the club grounds, but their presence will be based on a rotation system which will allow them not to cross paths. Club buildings will remain closed, and players will be asked to return home immediately after training.

The Times announced on Saturday that the Premier League was planning to resume its season, which had been interrupted for several weeks due to the coronavirus, from June 8 and in camera.

On April 20, Arsenal announced a reduction in salaries for its players and staff, in the order of -12.5%, effective from the end of April. In addition to the Gunners of other Premier League teams, Southampton, West Ham, Watford and Aston Villa, have announced cuts or deferrals in wages.
