Hugo Lloris has announced that he has auctioned off his gloves worn during the 2019 Liverpool-Tottenham Champions League final to raise funds for caregivers in the fight against the new coronavirus.

"To support the solidarity sale initiated by Cyril Dumoulin, I am delighted to offer my gloves worn during the final of the 2019 Champions League (Editor's note: won by Liverpool)," explained the Tottenham goalkeeper and the team. from France in a short video posted Friday evening on social networks.

Begun Friday evening, the auction reached 850 euros on Saturday late morning on the dedicated website.

Cyril Dumoulin, goalkeeper of the French handball team and the Nantes club, launched on 26 March a solidarity sale called SportAidons to raise funds for the nursing staff who fight against the Covid-19, by auctioning training and match outfits.

The initiative of the world champion in 2015 and of Europe in 2014 quickly gained momentum, and he was joined by dozens of other sportsmen. It has already raised more than 200,000 euros.

"We still have two days until Sunday evening and the end of the sales to dream even more, to have even more ambitions and who knows how to get an even larger figure and why not the 250,000 euros. Frankly, amazing! Thank you! everyone! "Dumoulin rejoiced in a video message posted on Friday evening on SportAidons' Twitter account.
