April 25, 2020A two-hour journey into memory, this tells the documentary Beastie Boys Story, Apple TV + documentary, in which the director Spike Jonze tells about the lasting popularity of the group, through the eyes of the two surviving protagonists. The release in the streaming channel was celebrated as a real online event.

Born in 1978 as a hardcore punk band, the Beastie Boys have over the years abandoned that musical genre to veer towards hip hop and rap rock. They sold 20 million records in the United States alone and seven platinum albums from 1986 to 2004. In 2014, "Mike D" announced the band's dissolution.
