“The development of a vaccine against coronavirus is carried out at an intensive pace in dozens of research centers around the world, including in Russia. WHO welcomes Russia's significant contribution to the overall global challenge of vaccine development, ”she said.
Along with this, Vujnović emphasized that all vaccine developers are very important to WHO.
The representative of the organization also noted that currently 77 developments are considered as potential vaccines against COVID-19 at the stage of preclinical trials, six candidates at the stage of clinical trials.
It was previously reported that WHO has classified nine Russian vaccines against COVID-19 as promising.
