  On April 24 local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law to change the end of World War II to September 3. Related legal documents were published on the official Russian legal information portal.

  The revised legal provisions stipulate: "The Federal Law on 'Military Honor Day and Memorial Day', which came into effect on March 13, 1995, is amended as follows: September 3-the end of World War II (1945) . "
