Just over half an hour after the shooting, police were alerted that a car was set on fire at Yxbacken, less than a mile from the homicide scene.

The police have not confirmed that the murder and the car fire are related, but the car burners and any escape car may have been filmed by the ski slopes webcams.

On Norrköping Ski Club's side, you do not want to confirm, or deny, that you have assisted the police with pictures.

- I don't want to comment on that. I do not comment on the car fire, says President Jennifer Grändås.

There are several cameras in the area, one only a few meters from the spot where the car was burnt.

Prosecutor: "Intensive police work"

The 37-year-old was shot to death on an open street in a car outside a fast-food restaurant in the Ingelsta area, on the outskirts of Norrköping. Another man was simultaneously subjected to an attempted murder.

- Immediately after the incident, intensive police work was initiated, which could quickly lead to the arrest of two people for involvement in the murder, Chamber Prosecutor Anna Hjorth explained in a statement.

The detained 27-year-old is now on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and the 29-year-old for criminal protection.

Ongoing gang war

The assassination on Thursday was all part of an ongoing gang war between No Surrender MC and the Bandidos sphere. The 37-year-old was written in an apartment in the staircase on Formaregatan in the Hageby district where a bomb exploded on January 22.

He also had a strong connection with the 39-year-old Linköpingsbo, who was a member of the criminal motorcycle gang No Surrender and who was shot dead in a shooting outside a nightclub in town on December 5 last year. The men were sentenced in 2018 to two years in prison after a blackmail attempt in Norrköping.
