The president of the French football federation Noël Le Graët would like to contest the two national cup finals before the resumption of the Championship, in the event that competition could resume, we learned on Friday from the FFF.

The French football leader expressed the wish to organize the final of the Coupe de France between Paris SG and Saint-Etienne on Saturday June 13 or June 20, then the final of the League Cup PSG-Lyon three days later on the occasion of a League Office on Friday.

Resuming competition with the Coupe de France, "the most prestigious trophy" which brings together amateur teams and professionals, would be a "symbolic message" addressed to all families of French football, it is argued to the Federation.

"We are in the process of redoing the calendar, at the Fédé and at the League. This proposal has not been contradicted. I consider that when someone does not say no to me, it is yes," commented Le Graët with the L'Equipe sports daily.

Suspended since mid-March, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 should resume in mid-June if the government gives the green light, according to the scenario favored by the football authorities.

If the deconfinement begins on May 11 as planned, "we can imagine that the championship would resume for the last ten days from June 15 probably", with the aim that "everything will be finished by August 3 because UEFA will finish its C1 campaigns from August 3 to 29 ", said Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas on Friday on OLTV.
