The president of Olympique Lyonnais Jean-Michel Aulas said Friday that the Rhone club had still not found an agreement with its players on a cut in their salaries.

"This is obviously a difficult subject to tackle in public because we are talking about personal things at the level of the players," explained Mr. Aulas on the club channel OLTV, in response to a question from a listener.

"Since the club has had no income since March 13, we are forced to reduce our lifestyle. Without going into detail, we have made a number of proposals to players and players, "said Aulas.

"Almost all of them want to help the club. Some want to do it more or less. We tried to set rules based on the salary itself - whether you are among the most high or those who are indirectly average. "

"We are very close to an agreement with the players and we continue to chat with the men's group," added the OL president.

"We must also count that, as soon as training resumes, in principle on May 14, this partial unemployment scheme will stop and that the scheme that we have set up with the club will also stop."

"This is an extremely short period at the moment, but which could be extended if unfortunately we do not resume," concluded Jean-Michel Aulas.

The subject of efforts on wages remains very sensitive to OL.

On April 18, Brazilian defender Rafael denounced the presence of a mole in the locker room after a media leak on a meeting between player on this subject.

OL would ask for a drop in wages from 25% to 70%.
