“According to the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day, April 23, 205 forest fires on an area of 16,000 ha were eliminated in Russia,” TASS reports.
The department said that at the moment in the country identified 87 outbreaks of forest fires with a total area of more than 12.5 thousand hectares.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Natural Resources of Transbaikalia announced the introduction of an emergency regime in the forests of the region due to fires.
