Presumed Democratic nominee for the US presidential election, Joe Biden, expected President Donald Trump to try to delay the November elections, in a bid to win a second term.

"Remember my words, I think he will try to postpone the elections in some way, and put forward a justification that prevents them from taking place," Biden said at a fundraising ceremony on the Internet Thursday.

"This is the only way (Trump) thinks he can win," added former Vice President Barack Obama.

On the other hand, Biden, 77, told supporters he was "enthusiastic about Donald Trump's debate."

"I am ready to watch it ... via Zoom, Skype, Slack, Hang Out, or in person, anytime and anywhere he wants," he added.

The last debate between Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders took place during the race to win the Democratic nomination on March 15, without the public attending due to the outbreak of the new Corona epidemic.

However, while the virus is still rampant in the United States, questions have been raised about the logistical details of the upcoming debate between Biden and Trump ahead of the elections.

Biden criticized and denounced, during the hypothetical ceremony, the manner in which Trump dealt with the "Covid 19" pandemic, which claimed the lives of about 50,000 people in the United States.

Trump replied to Biden during his daily briefing at the White House about the emerging Corona virus, and said in his answer to a question by the French Press Agency about the upcoming elections, "I cannot describe what will happen in the elections."

Trump's mission to win the election may be more difficult than expected, at a time when the epidemic broke out, and the number of unemployed rose to 26.4 million, according to Thursday's statistics.

While voting by mail and post is a way that some say may help reduce the transmission of coronavirus infection among voters, Trump insists that this leaves room for fraud.

Meanwhile, dozens of US states have postponed their primary elections, which formally determine the candidate.
