After suspending all flights to and from the UAE due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in coordination with the embassy of the state in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the official authorities in the Kingdom, and all relevant authorities in the country, was able to return the Emirati girl, Ghalia, who is 3 years old. Years to the arms of her parents who live in Dubai.

The child, Ghalia Mohammed Al-Amoudi, had traveled from Dubai to Dammam with her grandmother at the beginning of March, and it was planned that her mother would follow her two days later to visit the family, but the rapid developments of the Corona epidemic prevented the mother from traveling to Dammam or returning the girl to the UAE .

After waiting 50 days, the girl returned to the country’s land on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, after the special arrangements made by the government of the United Arab Emirates in coordination with the Saudi authorities to reunite the girl with her parents.

The father of the girl, Muhammad Al-Amoudi, who was awaiting the return of his child, affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation provided all facilities and attention necessary for the return of his daughter and following up her situation since her presence in Saudi Arabia until she reached home.

He said, "We thank our government and our elders for their uneasy standing with us in this crisis and for their standing with every citizen and resident on the homeland. We also thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, headed by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for all the facilities, attention and follow-up they have provided to the situation Our daughter is dear, and we also thank the Ministry of Interior, headed by Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for all their support and facilitation of our procedures. We also thank the Ministry of Health and Community Protection for everything they do, especially during this crisis.
