Reacting to a study that the heat and the rays of the sun weaken the coronavirus, the American president suggested the possibility of an "injection" of disinfectant or strong light like UV to a person affected by Covid-19. Words that made the medical community rise up.

During his daily briefing to the press Thursday, US President Donald Trump reacted to the presentation of a preliminary study on the Covid-19 by an official of the internal security department, by suggesting the possibility of an "injection" disinfectant or an ultraviolet ray cure for Covid-19 patients.

"Suppose we hit the body with a large dose of ultraviolet" ...

According to the preliminary study in question, the heat, humidity and UV rays of the sun would shorten the half-life of Covid-19, and would give hope of a reduction in the epidemic if these conditions would be met. The study would also say that bleach kills the virus in five minutes.

Thinking out loud after the presentation of the study, Donald Trump made this suggestion in front of everyone: "Suppose we hit the body with a large dose of ultraviolet, or just a very strong light. And then suppose we bring the light inside the body, which we can do through the skin or some other way ... It hasn't been checked, but you're going to test it, "says by contacting the manager.

"And then I see the disinfectant that neutralizes it in a minute. Could we do something like that, with an injection inside or ... almost like a cleaning," he wonders again.

Doctors call for no bleach or disinfectant

The president then calls to Deborah Birx, doctor, who attends the briefing. "Deborah, have you ever heard of the heat or the light in the face of this virus?" "Not like a treatment," replies the latter.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> Can France hope for a more favorable scenario than Italy?

> Are women and people with blood type O more resistant?

> Are certain serious forms linked to a genetic factor?

> How will the distribution of masks take place in France?

> Back to school on May 11: under what conditions?

> How to keep sleep during confinement?

The sequence horrified many doctors who were quick to react, including on social networks.

Please don't do this.

They call especially not to drink bleach or any disinfectant while thinking to protect themselves from the virus, this being toxic and potentially fatal.
