American nurses protested against the lack of protective equipment for medical staff and comforting a dead colleague in front of the White House.

Foreign news sources, including the Washington Post in the US, reported on Wednesday that local American nurses protested with pictures of colleagues at Lafayette Square in front of the White House in Washington DC.

Colleagues in the photo were medical workers who died on the front line of Corona 19 and eventually passed a positive decision. Melody Jones, a member of the American National Nurses' Union (NNU), commemorated the names of fellow medical staff members who died. The names of 45 medical workers who died in New York, Alabama, Nevada, and California also echoed across the square.
"There will be more medical staff killed by Corona 19," said Jones, "let's remember and commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of our colleagues." He also appealed to provide personal protective equipment for medical staff.

In an interview with the Congressional Journal, “People now consider us heroes. But our colleagues are dying. We are not martyrs. ”

As the number of cases of infection in Corona19 in the United States has skyrocketed, there have been continued lack of protective equipment such as masks and gowns for medical staff. In New York, nurse unions also sued state health departments and hospitals for failing to provide protective equipment.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 9,000 medical staff in the United States have tested Corona19 positively in the past, and in many areas, there is a lack of tests, which is estimated to be more than this.
