US President Donald Trump announced in a tweet on Twitter that he would sign an executive order suspending immigration to the United States.

In his tweet, Trump stressed that "the matter is temporary to protect the jobs of American citizens during the Corona crisis," and described the virus as "an attack by an invisible enemy".

Observers had expected that the closures imposed by the United States to contain the Corona virus, would lead to an increase in unemployment rates among Americans to 15% this month, which is higher than the previous record of 10.8% recorded during the recession in 1982.
