On Good Friday in April this year, a petrol station was robbed in Vännäs. A man in his 30s stepped armed with a knife to the Gulf station in Vännäs and threatened the cashier. The man held up the knife and said "this is a robbery" and "help me if you do not want to die". He then got the cashier to open the cash box and then left the bag with SEK 7,500 in cash.
The police told us after the robbery that the treasurer acted exemplary and alerted the police. She could also give a signal to the perpetrator. The day after the robbery, the police could arrest the man and he is now being prosecuted at the Umeå District Court for robbery.
Among the evidence is the knife used in the robbery and pictures from the man's phone where he poses with a banknote bundle in his hand.
