The government has decided to review the supplementary budget for this year, which was reviewed to provide a uniform benefit of 100,000 yen per person, and the additional expenditure will increase by 8.8 trillion yen from before the revision to 25,691.4 billion yen. climb. All the necessary financial resources will be covered by government bonds, and the total amount of new government bonds issued this year, including the initial budget, will rise to a record high of over ¥ 58 trillion.

The government decided on the supplementary budget for this fiscal year that the additional expenditure will be 16.80 trillion yen in general account in order to carry out the emergency economic measures with the business scale of more than 108 trillion yen this month.

However, the government has decided to cancel the 300,000 yen cash benefit for households with reduced income, which was included in the emergency economic measures, and to implement a uniform benefit of 100,000 yen per person, and reviewed the supplementary budget proposal. .

Under the new supplementary budget plan, the uniform payment of 100,000 yen will require a total of 12,880.3 billion yen, so we will increase the additional expenditure by 8,885.7 billion yen from before the revision.

As a result, the expenditure on the supplementary budget will be 25,691.4 billion yen, and the scale of the emergency economic measures business will increase from about 108,200 billion yen to about 117,100 billion yen.

The lack of financial resources will be covered by the issuance of additional deficit-financing bonds. The deficit-financing bonds will be 23,362.4 billion yen and the construction government bonds will be 2,329 billion yen.

Combined with the initial budget, the amount of new JGBs issued this year will reach a record high of 5.8 trillion yen, exceeding the fiscal 2009 level after the Lehman Shock, and 45.4% of annual revenues will depend on JGBs.

It is extremely unusual for the government to revise the budget once decided, and we would like to have it approved by the Diet within the next week and put the incorporated policy into action promptly.
