Arrested last Friday at his home by the Brigade of search and arrest, Oumar Sylla has since been detained at the head of the Judicial Police, according to his lawyers, who denounce a violent operation without summons or warrant. And now refuse to assist their client to stop associating, they say "  illegal procedures  " until the case is presented to the prosecution.

Relatives of Oumar Sylla evoke his intervention on the waves of the main private radio in the country to call for a resumption of the demonstrations, despite the epidemic of coronavirus. The activist accuses the power of having first broken the truce by calling the new National Assembly on Tuesday.

"  We are in an exceptional period of health emergency ," explains a security source. Insulting the President of the Republic and inciting people to go out to gather is a flagrant offense.  "

In early March, Ibrahima Diallo and Sékou Koundouno, two other FNDC figures were arrested and then placed under judicial supervision. They had been sentenced to other prison terms with other leaders in October 2019 and are still awaiting an appeal .

Contacted by RFI the national director of the judicial police did not wish to comment on the accusations of the group of lawyers.
