The P4 laboratory at the Institute of Virology in Wuhan is raising rumors and concerns. Is it a leak from this structure that would have caused the global health crisis? The hypothesis is not scientifically validated. The director, Yuan Zhiming, denied responsibility on Monday. He says he is confident.

Where does the Covid-19 come from? Questions about the origin of the contamination arise. Scientists are looking for animal-human contamination, possibly at a market selling wild animals, in Wuhan City. But the presence of an Institute of virology and its P4 laboratory, a few kilometers in the epicenter city of the epidemic, feeds the rumors. Especially since according to the Washington Post , American diplomats have alerted in 2018 about procedural flaws in a laboratory, which studied forms of coronavirus from bats.
