Visit of the Head of State, military operations, inter-community dialogue ... despite all these efforts, fire is still brewing in Ituri, said these senators and national deputies.

According to them, CODECO, the only group that refused to lay down their arms, continues to mourn the entire region. Despite the killing of their leader  Ngudjolo , despite the arrest of two thinking heads, intellectual authors have now reorganized as though to take revenge, " explains Senator Alphonse Ukeci Rundi . So they kill in a very bad way. They are even at the door of Bunia. On Sunday April 13, they attacked a police station . They killed four members of the security forces  . ”

These Ituri parliamentarians are also alerting to the presence in the region of a new armed group. There is an active armed group called Chini ya Kilima, whose operating mode is similar to that of Codeco, which operates in the territory of Irumu ...  "

Ituri parliamentarians' caucus believes the government should do everything to avoid the worst. " Now ... we see young people with sticks in their hands running, singing. I believe that something can happen, if we are not careful, ”continues Alphone Ukeci Rundi.

Also, the signatories of the declaration ask Monusco to be deeply involved in the protection of populations and to support the government army.
