US President Donald Trump, during a press conference today, on the emerging Corona virus, announced his administration’s intention to gradually open up the economy, and to lift restrictions in some US states in the coming days.
In this context, Trump indicated that the states of Texas and Vermont have decided to restart work in some institutions as of next Monday, and he made clear that Montana will ease the closing procedures starting from Friday.
On the other hand, Trump stated that the number of deaths in the United States is lower than European countries, noting also that the number of deaths in China is much greater than America.
Trump also reiterated that he refused to adopt the herd immunity theory because it would have killed millions of Americans.
Trump said that the number of corona victims would have doubled if necessary measures had not been taken, expecting, at the same time, the death toll from the virus in the United States to 60,000.
On the other hand, Trump said that the ability of the United States to conduct more corona tests allows the economy to be opened again, explaining that his country has conducted more than 4 million tests on corona in America.
Trump again blamed China for the consequences of the spread of Corona, vowing it of "consequences" if it was found to have intentionally initiated the Coronavirus virus. He said: "There should be repercussions for China if it is intentionally responsible for the Coronavirus pandemic."
It is noteworthy that, in recent days, Trump made harsh criticism of China, accusing it of misleading the international community over the start of the virus outbreak, although the World Health Organization has repeatedly confirmed the transparency of the Chinese authorities on this issue.
On US funding for the World Health Organization, Trump said: "We spent about $ 32 billion on the World Health Organization without success." He added: "$ 6 billion is spent annually to fight AIDS globally."
Trump had earlier attacked the World Health Organization, accused by him of siding with the Chinese side in its actions and providing wrong information to the United States, to announce recently that the US President announced the cessation of funding for this international institution despite the continuing pandemic.
Trump also criticized a number of journalists and some American media, accusing them of falsifying facts.
In a related context, the US President announced that the United States will supply Mexico with artificial respirators.
For his part, the American Crisis Cell team explained that social divergence has contributed to reducing deaths by a third in the United States.
The US Crisis Cell team also criticized China’s lack of transparency in its handling of the Corona crisis, and said: “There is no excuse for China not to share information transparently with the world,” noting that Wuhan's death toll is twice as high as what has been officially announced.
The American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced, on Saturday night, that the number of new cases of Corona virus in the United States reached 690 thousand and 714 cases, an increase of 29002 from previous data, adding that the number of deaths rose by 2394, bringing the total deaths to 35 thousand and 443.
