Iranian Minister of Defense Amir Hatami announced that the army air force received the home-made Karar and Ababil three warplanes.

Hatimi told state television that the Iranian armed forces had acquired three 1,500-km grenade-carrying drones, which are new, multi-role aircraft that can be used in reconnaissance and monitoring operations, and are also capable of carrying rockets and bombs.

During the handover ceremony of the planes televised from Tehran, Hatami said that these planes could monitor "enemy movements from a distance".

He is equipped with bombs and missiles, and can fly at a height of 13,716 meters, and it is manufactured by the Iranian military industries sector with the participation of local universities.

On the other hand, the Iranian Minister of Defense denied US reports that talked about the harassment suffered by the American forces in the Gulf waters by ships belonging to the Revolutionary Guards. Hatami said that the illegal US presence in the Gulf is the reason for the insecurity in the region.

Drones are an important element in monitoring the Iranian border, especially in the Gulf waters and around the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world's oil supplies pass.
