New Stockholm Norvik Port will receive the largest freight vessels and secure goods transport in Mälardalen. The new, 4,400 meter long, industrial track will carry goods from and to the container port. An additional 460 meters of track is on the port floor to load and unload wagons for national and international transport.
According to Stockholm's Ports, freight traffic will not affect commuter train traffic.

Stockholm Norvik Port opens in 2020 and it is Stockholm's Ports that owns and is responsible for the new industrial track.
