Juan Guaidó has announced tonight in Caracas the most far-reaching measure since he took over the presidency in charge in January 2019: the granting of a salary of $ 300 for doctors, nurses and hospital personnel who are on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

"After great efforts and months of work I can announce that during three months of the pandemic we will give direct support to our doctors, nurses and hospital workers of $ 100 a month to protect and save lives," said the legitimate president of Parliament.

The strategy to avoid the obstacles of the "dictatorship" has been provided by the Organization of American States (OAS), by developing a virtual purse between both parties . "We are doing everything possible so that the first support comes out as quickly as possible," said Guaidó.

Most public personnel collect the minimum wage imposed by the Bolivarian government, which does not even reach three dollars a month. In addition, all of them are suffering from the lack of fuel at gas stations, a real torment to reach hospitals.

Guaidó took advantage of the occasion to insist that only a national emergency government, supported by the United States and a large part of the international community, "can help prevent a humanitarian catastrophe with international aid and financing."

"The first measure is to protect those who care for us. Health professionals today are the most exposed to the pandemic," said the opposition leader.

Health personnel are in the eye of the hurricane of the repression plan that the revolution has intensified since the pandemic began to advance in Latin America. The last to suffer was Dr. Luis Araya, detained for 24 hours for reporting the health crisis in his wasap state.

Suspicions have multiplied in health personnel when they learn about the distributions that are being carried out by the government with the help received from abroad. While Bolivarian leaders and security forces wear biosafety suits, in most Venezuelan hospitals, water, electricity, and masks are not superfluous.
