A 23-year-old man was admitted to prison at noon this morning after being arrested by the Ertzaintza in Errenteria (Guipúzcoa) on the morning of Wednesday for a crime of disobedience, for breaching the confinement rules in force since last day. March 14.

After being brought to justice on the morning of this Thursday, the judge decreed his entry into prison for repeated failure to comply with the aforementioned regulations, since he has been surprised a total of thirteen times, including today that has motivated his arrest, since last March 18, both by the Ertzaintza and the Errenteria Local Police.

As reported by the Basque Department of Security, around eight fifteen in the morning of this Wednesday, a patrol of the Ertzaintza, which carried out work of citizen protection for the town of Errenteria, located on the street Navarra of this town a man that, asked about the reason for his presence on the street, in contravention of the confinement rules of the current State of Alarm, he did not succeed in giving a convincing reason. In response to this response, the agents ordered him to go to his home on pain of being detained for a crime of disobedience.

Later, after ten past twenty in the morning, another Ertzaintza patrol was required to appear in person at a Donostia street shop in the same town, since an individual had ordered a product from the shop assistant and, after receiving it, had ran out of the premises without paying it.

After speaking with the store manager, who provided them with a description of the suspect, the agents determined that it could be the same individual who had been previously warned, so they made a tour of the town trying to locate him.

Thus, after half past ten they located him on Avenida Galtzaraborda, identifying him as a 23-year-old man. In his possession, the agents found the stolen product in commerce, so they proceeded to arrest him under the accusation of a crime of disobedience, for failing to comply with the confinement rules specific to the State of Alarm, and charged him with a crime of theft .

Placed this Thursday morning at the judicial disposition, the judge decreed his immediate entry into prison for repeated failure to comply with the confinement rules established in the Royal Decree establishing the State of Alarm, since the suspect had been caught on a total of 13 occasions, since last March 18, in contravention of the aforementioned regulations, both by the Ertzaintza and by the Errenteria Local Police.
