What is happening to the overseas Chinese in all countries as the new pneumonia epidemic spreads all over the world? China Overseas Chinese Network (ID: qiaowangzhongguo) specially launched a series of "Overseas Stays" series of manuscripts, telling the story of the "war epidemic" left by overseas Chinese. In this issue, JM, a Spanish overseas Chinese, picks up Mijun and tells us the story of her and her family left behind.

Today is the 48th day that our family of three has entered the home anti-epidemic state.

Since February 24th, because of the outbreak of the Italian epidemic, we began to collect masks, just in case.

The first confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia appeared in Madrid on February 25. We have stepped up the pace of collecting masks. In general, pharmacies in small alleys do not have masks, and there is a higher probability of masks in pharmacies along the road. In this way, I still ran more than a dozen pharmacies nearby, only to find 6 masks. In view of the rapid development of the Madrid epidemic, it is not appropriate to go to the pharmacy again. Finally, I bought some masks from Amazon.

From this day, Dadwa also walked to work, avoided crowded roads, and paid attention to ventilation and personal hygiene in the office.

On the same day, Chinese friends around me told one another: more food. On the same day, I went to a Chinese supermarket and bought a bunch of noodles, mushrooms, fungus and other foods.

After that, I went to the nearby supermarket and bought a lot of food and daily necessities such as rice, flour, meat, vegetables, toilet paper, alcohol and so on.

On February 28th, my baby's school was on holiday due to Carnaval festival. From that day, the baby started the house life. Because I had to take care of children, I couldn't go out to take Spanish classes, so I started to stay at home with my baby.

Therefore, according to the start time of family members squatting at home, our family's anti-epidemic life began on February 28.

On the evening of March 1st, about 80,000 people watched the game at a match at the Bernabéu Real Madrid Stadium. The stadium is not far from our home. Although we are at home, we are inevitably squeezed by the situation of Madrid ’s new pneumonia.

On March 8, the Women's Day Parade in Madrid, news reports said about 120,000 people took to the streets. From the balcony of our house, we can see a main road. There are people on the street. Although it is not crowded, it is indeed more than usual.

Subsequently, the number of new coronary pneumonia diagnosed in Madrid began to rise rapidly.

On March 11, Madrid ’s primary, secondary, and elementary schools began to suspend classes, and they are temporarily closed for 15 days. The government encourages society to adopt remote office widely. Dad also started working at home.

On March 14, the Spanish government announced that the country was on alert, except for pharmacies and supermarkets, all bars, restaurants, and large shopping centers were temporarily closed for 15 days. We were relieved, and the government finally took it seriously.

From March 15 to the present, we participate in applause on our balcony every night on time, cheer for the medical staff and police, pay tribute to them, and thank them for their efforts in the field of anti-epidemic.

At the same time, the baby's school started taking classes in the cloud, and the teachers regularly sent curriculum arrangements and teaching resources to parents. Parents teach the children at home by themselves. After the class, parents send photos or videos of the child's learning process, homework, and email to the teacher.

On March 23, the Spanish government announced an extension of the national alert status for two weeks to April 11. On April 5, the government again announced that it would continue to extend the alert status until April 26.

On April 10, the Spanish government issued a resumption guide, which mainly includes the following: maintain a social distance of at least 2 meters, use transportation that maintains social distance as much as possible, pay attention to public and private places, and wash hands frequently. In addition, the government will issue masks in densely populated areas such as subway stations and train stations.

Early in the morning on April 11th, Dad received an email from the unit and notified: "Don't go back to work! Continue to work at home!"

Therefore, the family life of our family of three continues. Not going out is the best protection for yourself and the greatest contribution to society!

In fact, before the Madrid epidemic became severe in mid-March, we also considered whether to return to our country, but finally decided to stay in place. There are two reasons: First, the journey is tortuous, and the aircraft is closed for a long time, and the infection rate is greater; Second, we still have work to do, and going back will occupy social resources, which is not conducive to China's domestic anti-epidemic. We firmly believe that not going out is the greatest contribution to society and the best responsibility for ourselves.

In the early days of the epidemic, the Chinese Embassy in Spain provided the news of Alipay's online doctor consultation platform, and subsequently released information on the anti-epidemic guidelines for citizens in the West, the Consulate Consultation Hotline, and JD's global free health information platform.

With the development of the epidemic situation, the embassy often pushes all kinds of protection information, health information, and insurance information to everyone. This makes us really feel that the motherland is with us, and makes us wanderers feel at ease and have a lot of peace of mind.

As ordinary people, during the epidemic, what we can do is to treat the epidemic with an ordinary heart, do what we can, take our own responsibilities, hold the spirit of Yugong Yishan, tenacious, persistent, strong, wait for the flowers ,everything will get better!
