Passenger trains will remain at the station, commercial planes grounded, the main industries closed, and 1.3 billion Indians at home. This, at least until May 3.

The third economy in Asia has been shutdown for three weeks , hundreds of millions of daily workers suffer greatly , but this is effective in reducing the transmission of Covid-19.

Only half of the country's districts are affected so far, and a third of the cases are concentrated in the two highly urbanized regions of Delhi and Maharashtra, where Bombay is located .

The authorities have therefore sealed the hundreds of most contaminated districts, from which almost no one can enter or leave, and widely test their residents : Until now, the Indian government tested its population 20 times less than France. That is changing, with the use of rapid tests - which could offer a slightly more realistic view of the spread of the pandemic in the second most populous country in the world.
