The American golf circuit PGA is considering several scenarios of return to competition after the interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, including tournaments without public, said Friday Golf Digest.

In a note sent to players and consulted by the specialized magazine, the PGA Tour has set itself the objective of a resumption on May 21, at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth (Texas).

The organizers say in this document hope to "preserve as many events as possible while saving time while the crisis evolves".

If it is not possible to organize it on these dates due to the containment measures taken by the authorities of the United States, where the coronavirus is wreaking havoc, an option would be to postpone the start of the event to 11 June.

The Charles Schwab Challenge would then take its place on the Canadian Open calendar, which should be canceled.

The players will be notified three to four weeks before the resumption of competitions, promised the PGA Tour.

"We know that many of you are affected by travel restrictions and / or the inability to practice where you are, which is why we want to give you as much time as possible so that you can return well prepared" , can we read in the note.
