Although there are no deficiencies in patient care places yet, Bengt Hultberg, chairman of the Medical Association, points to problems that may become a reality in the future. He believes that it would be difficult for the healthcare system to manage 300 seriously ill patients who need care, as it would be difficult to staff in healthcare.

- We have guidelines that say we should be able to care for 150-200 patients, but we must not forget that these are patients who need hospital care for a long time. It can be a couple of weeks, sometimes longer, says Bengt Hultberg.

"There is an extremely good cooperation"

Doctors who need to stay home because of illness or who are at home with sick children are increasing in the county, according to the Medical Association.

- It is a large group that is at home today, it is double up compared to what it usually does, says Bengt Hultberg.

Despite difficult times for the county doctors, he says that there is good cooperation in the region.

- Everyone works towards a common cause and there is an incredibly good collaboration here. There has been a great deal of concern, but some have been worried about risks, not least in terms of protective armor. But there is nothing that is currently lacking, says Bengt Hultberg.
