10 April 2020Oppositions are "committed to generating chaos" and "spreading false news" to make election propaganda represents "an irresponsible attitude".

This was stated by the Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, after the press conference of Giuseppe Conte in which the President of the Council accused Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni of spreading falsehoods on the Mes (European Stability Mechanism), given that within the coronavirus emergency the country has not signed any commitments.

"The Italian people must be helped, supported, reassured", explains the head of Italian diplomacy on his social profiles. "Sorry, however, to see the opposition committed to generating chaos. Spreading false news, only to give life to a cynical electoral propaganda in such a delicate moment, is an irresponsible attitude".

"We are doing our best to get the best deal in Europe," adds Di Maio, "an agreement that can give us concrete tools to help our citizens to get up again. Forward with humility, head down and a lot of work. For Italy and for all Italians ".
