Since March 1, France has recorded 13,197 deaths linked to the coronavirus, including 8,598 in hospitals and 4,599 in nursing homes and other medico-social establishments. This was announced, Friday, April 10, the Director General of Health, Jérôme Salomon.

The daily death toll in French hospitals has started to rise again, after having decreased for two consecutive days, to 554 dead, said Jérôme Salomon. It was established Thursday at 424, according to figures published on the site of Public Health France.

The total number of serious resuscitation cases was 7,004.62 less than the previous day, which represents a new negative balance between discharges and admissions, after the drop of 82 cases recorded the previous day.

"The plateau seems to be starting. A very high plateau," said Jérôme Salomon, saying, as the day before, that the first impacts of confinement were beginning to be observed.

The Director General of Health announced that "a child under the age of 10" had died in Île-de-France. The causes of his death, however, seem "multiple", according to Jerome Salomon.

According to an AFP count, more than 100,000 people have died in the world of coronavirus.
