Cutting Thursday in Strömstad is usually a party, roaring music and rotating motors. But the Corona crisis on Thursday was something else entirely. The border between Sweden and Norway is basically closed, so hardly any Norwegians appeared on the day of the plunder.

But Strömstad did not become completely without a traditional car license. The city's local traders had come together to pay attention to the importance of continuing to trade, even during the Corona crisis.

"It is in times of crisis that we are the best version of ourselves," says Heidi Caroline Nyström, president of the local merchant association.
