The turn: Now high school students are offered a school lunch in Sundsvall

Since March 18, most upper secondary schools around Sweden have been closed as a result of the government's recommendations for the corona virus.

Then the students at Sundsvall high school would not be offered a school lunch.

- In compulsory school it is statutory, where we are obliged to serve food. At the high school, it is a political issue, but we have not yet made a decision, school director Urban Åström told SVT Västernorrland.

Now S, C, V, M, L and KD announce in a joint statement that from after Easter, high school students at Sundsvall high school will be able to pick up school lunch and bring home.

Sundsvall's Food & Meals, together with the child and education administration, will offer high school students in Sundsvall's municipal school to have a school lunch in the form of food boxes, which the students can pick up at pick-up points around the municipality.
