Three people carriers traveling in convoy in the middle of the night. Enough to arouse the curiosity of the gendarmes during this period of confinement. Especially when these, as was the case with the gendarmes of Loire-Atlantique in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, are reinforced by aerial surveillance by helicopter. The three suspect vehicles were therefore quickly reported to a ground patrol which tried to intercept them at Vertou, in the southern suburbs of Nantes, reports the national gendarmerie.

Summoned to stop, the drivers tried to sow the police before finally abandoning the minivans by the road, preferring to flee on foot. It was then that the gendarmes discovered inside 32 sheep, crowded but alive! They had just been stolen from a farm in the Deux-Sèvres department.

The animals were taken care of by a farm before being returned to their rightful owner. "Remember, the gendarmerie keeps watch, day and night, on the ground and in the air, so ... stay at home," insists the gendarmerie.
