A consignment of Egyptian weapons destined for the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter has arrived at the port of Tobruk in eastern Libya, according to sources from the internationally recognized national reconciliation government.

This coincides with the continued clashes in several axes south of the capital, Tripoli, and the announcement of a specialized committee in the Libyan Ministry of Justice to monitor all violations committed by Haftar forces, since the beginning of its attack on the Libyan capital on April 4, 2019.

Three people were killed and eight others were wounded by Haftar forces in an aerial bombardment targeting a convoy of theirs on the Bani Walid Road and Tarhuna, southeast of Tripoli.

The media center for the "volcano anger", which is affiliated with the National Accord Government, said that Emirati mechanisms were destroyed in the operation.

A commander in the rank of colonel of the Haftar Forces was also killed in the Salah al-Din axis south of Tripoli, and civilian cars were burned in a bombardment carried out by Haftar forces on a residential neighborhood in the Abu Salim area, which is targeted for the third day in a row.

On the other hand, Operation Berkane Fury said that a ship arriving from Egypt carrying 40 tons of weapons and ammunition had reached the port of Tobruk in eastern Libya.

The operation added - on its Facebook page - that this shipment of weapons and ammunition came to support Haftar forces in the fighting axes south of Tripoli.

Also, the Libyan government forces announced yesterday the western and central regions in the country, areas of military operations, in which movement is prohibited without prior permission, whether for military and semi-military mechanisms or cargo and fuel trucks.

In a statement, the forces pointed out that the announcement of this measure was made on the basis of the Emergency Law and the General Negative announced by the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army (Fayez al-Sarraj, President of the Presidential Council).

On the other hand, the Ministry of Justice in the Al-Wefaq government said that a specialized committee monitored all violations committed by the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter, since its attack on Tripoli on the fourth of April 2019.

The ministry added - in a statement - that among the documented violations committed by Haftar forces were the representation of corpses of members of the government of reconciliation forces, murders that included civilians in the city of Tarhuna, southeast of Tripoli, targeting the Al-Khadra Hospital, one of the sites designated to confront the Corona pandemic, and closing the artificial river system The cities of the western region with water.

The Ministry called on the Military Prosecutor and the Office of the Public Prosecutor to refer these crimes to the International Criminal Court, so that the perpetrators are not impunity.
