The airport in Växjö was opened to receive the two patients who arrived by air last night and night for further transport by ambulance.

- We have previously decided to move patients instead of staff and have clear routines for how the transport should go. We do this in order to gain experience that will benefit future patients and that we may need help later on, ”says Pär Lindgren, Chief Physician of the Kronoberg Region in a press release.

- The Corona crisis affects different regions very much. Right now Region Sörmland needs our support and of course we will help, next time we may be in need of help, says the regional board chairman Mikael Johansson (M).

The situation for the patients is stable.
