He spent three days in intensive care. Boris Johnson was hospitalized on Sunday at St Thomas Hospital in central London and entered intensive care Monday evening, and was discharged on Thursday evening, his spokesman said. The British Prime Minister, infected with the new coronavirus, was nonetheless hospitalized.

"The Prime Minister has been transferred from intensive care to another department of the hospital, where he will be placed under close surveillance during the initial phase of his recovery," the spokesman said in a statement.
