The Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Hamid Mohamed Al Qatami, confirmed that the authorities concerned with combating the emergence of the new "Corona virus" work as a single team under the umbrella of the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management.

The Al-Marri team emphasized the ability of Dubai Police to monitor any violations related to leaving the house without a permit, or to the disgraced people who do not appreciate the efforts made by the competent authorities.

Al-Qatami also revealed the establishment of a field hospital with a capacity of 5,000 beds, in addition to raising the capacity of hospitals in order to prevent them.

Al-Marri said that Dubai Police has all the technologies needed to implement the national sterilization program and monitor abuses, noting that they use advanced technologies that rely on artificial intelligence to monitor violators, and communicate with the public through the "Police Eye" and "e-crime" windows. He continued, "Dubai Police targeted the workers, through awareness programs in their residential areas, in coordination with the Dubai Municipality and the Labor Committee and volunteers," noting the role of charities in providing them with the necessary supplies to counter the virus, such as masks and disinfectants.

Al-Marri stressed that there is continuous coordination with the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation regarding nationals of other countries who wish to return to their countries, stressing the provision of humanitarian, health and social care to those stranded in the country.

Al-Marri added that "the UAE has provided an exceptional model by bringing its citizens stranded abroad," adding that "some airports are closed around the world, and the return of those who want to leave the country to their home countries is subject to the approval of their countries to receive them."

In turn, Hamid Al-Qatami revealed the establishment of a field hospital in Dubai that would hold about 5,000 beds.

He added that the Health Authority has worked to raise the capacity of hospitals, isolation centers and quarantine centers in the emirate, as a precaution, to deal with any developments that may affect the numbers of injured people.

He explained that the national sterilization program had a noticeable positive effect in limiting the spread of the virus and achieving social divergence, noting that its effect is constantly evaluated and measured.

Al-Qatami confirmed that more than 250,000 tests for the new Corona virus in the emirate were conducted within a short period, pointing to the establishment of two testing centers from the car in Rashid Port and Al Khawaneej, in addition to a testing center in Al-Nasr Club.

He pointed to the establishment of mobile examination centers, which roam Dubai, especially the densely populated areas, to conduct pre-emptive checks for community members, in coordination with the competent authorities. He said that between 80% and 85% of those infected with the Corona virus in Dubai, their condition is between simple and medium, indicating that the symptoms and the period required for recovery depend on the health of each patient and the strength of his immune system.

He explained that the period required by the patient to recover ranged between a week and 30 days, depending on the response of the patient.

He added that the state invested huge efforts and funds in health infrastructure to protect society from the pandemic, but these people underestimate the efforts made, pointing out that Dubai police were spreading the news in an unclear way, to preserve their privacy, but the situation could no longer be like that.

He said that publishing their photos will directly reflect on their situation, and that no one will employ them in the future because of these irresponsible actions, as well as the legal measures that will be taken against them.
