Abu Dhabi Police called on the public not to publish rumors and circulate them on social media, which includes a number of messages, some of which lack accuracy and credibility, affecting public opinion.
She made it clear that publishing rumors is a crime punishable by law, according to Article (198) bis of the Federal Penal Code, which states that anyone who deliberately broadcasts false news, statements, rumors, or objectionable rumors, or broadcasts propaganda, that disturbs public security, is punished. Or panic among people, or harm the public interest.

She stressed the importance of community members to be a protective shield in addressing the spread of rumors and misleading news, and to investigate objectivity and credibility.
