The paramedic saved Alia Al Kaabi (a national ambulance cadre), the life of a mother and her child, during an emergency delivery in an ambulance that was taking her from home to the hospital, so what was from the family, in honor of the paramedic and her human and heroic role, only to give her newborn the name Alia.

The paramedic tells Alia the details of the story, saying that the National Ambulance received a notification to transfer the birth case to the hospital, and she was directed with the paramedics, because they needed a citizen paramedic, who speaks the Arabic language, so she was not immediately moved with the ambulance crew to the case’s house, where the mother found She is in critical condition, facing birth pain, and in urgent need of being transferred to hospital.

She added that during the process of transporting her, I was surprised that the mother was unable to wait for long, and started giving birth inside the ambulance, so she immediately provided help and support to her, until she safely finished her delivery, but the child was in a critical condition, as the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and abdomen, Which prompted her to act quickly, until she saved the girl, then handed her over to her mother.

Alia Al-Kaabi told Al-Emarat Al-Youm that she chose to work in the field of ambulance, and she knows from the beginning the extent of the difficulties that she can face, but she believes in the humanitarian message of paramedics in the service of the country and society, and providing a helping hand and assistance to sick citizens and residents.

She adds that she feels happy and proud that she is one of the children of Zayed, and one of the first line of defense, expressing her pride and constant willingness to sacrifice in all situations and conditions, for the safety of the members of her community, praising the unlimited support provided by the UAE leadership to Emirati women in all fields.

During its work in the emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah, during the past years, national ambulance crews dealt with hundreds of cases related to emergency deliveries and medical assistance for pregnant women, as the crews helped mothers give birth before they arrived at the hospital, and others were transferred I went to hospitals by ambulance and provided them with medical care and care, which saved their lives and those of their newborns.

The National Ambulance urged pregnant women to undergo regular visits to the doctor, and follow the instructions in terms of the expected date of birth, their signs and the actual symptoms, to reduce the possibility of facing sudden labor, and avoid the risks associated with childbirth outside the hospital environment.
