Ellen Undevall recently worked in the emergency department but when the coronavirus came on, she quickly changed the ward to the intensive care unit where she is now caring for seriously ill patients.

- It feels very much right now that you are doing something meaningful and it will be a driving force, says Ellen Undvall.

Colleague Ivan Nizic is in his sixth year in the intensive care unit. She says that the biggest difference at work today is that they are forced to wear protective equipment so as not to become infected.

- The care we provide now does not differ much from how we otherwise treat severe lung disease.

Are you worried about your own health?

- I have no concern when I'm at work. We have personal respiratory masks. I can feel more afraid in the community because I have no control and I try to avoid places where there may be infection, says Ivanka Nizic.
