China News Service, April 8th, at a press conference held by the State Council Joint Defense and Joint Control Mechanism on April 8, Mi Feng, spokesman of the National Health and Health Commission and deputy director of the Propaganda Department, pointed out that with the removal of Wuhan from Wuhan Management and control, increased personnel flow, we must adhere to the combination of emergency response and normalized prevention and control, and focus on key links and risk points to accurately do the prevention and control of epidemic situations.
At the meeting, Mi Feng first reported the epidemic situation: from 0:00 to 24:00 on April 7th, the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported: 62 newly confirmed cases, of which 59 were imported cases abroad, respectively 25 cases in Shanxi, 25 cases in Heilongjiang, 5 cases in Shanghai, 2 cases in Guangdong, 1 case in Beijing and 1 case in Zhejiang; 3 cases were local cases, 2 cases in Shandong and 1 case in Guangdong; 2 new death cases, including Shanghai 1 each in Hubei; 12 new suspected cases, 11 of which were imported from abroad, and 1 was from Guangdong. On the same day, 112 new cases were discharged, 2295 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 22 severe cases were reduced.
There are 714 confirmed cases imported from abroad, including 23 severe cases and 82 suspected cases. A total of 1042 cases were diagnosed, and 328 cases were discharged and no deaths were found.
As of 24:00 on April 7, according to the reports of the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps: there are currently 1190 confirmed cases, including 189 severe cases; a total of 77279 cases have been cured and discharged, and a total of 3333 deaths have been reported. 81,802 cases were diagnosed, and 83 suspected cases existed. A total of 715,854 close contacts were tracked, and 13,334 close contacts were still under medical observation.
There are no newly confirmed cases, no new suspected cases and existing suspected cases in Hubei. 69 new cases were cured and 1 case was newly discharged, all of which were Wuhan cases. There are 448 confirmed cases, including 445 cases in Wuhan, 158 serious cases, and 155 cases in Wuhan. A total of 64,142 cases were discharged from hospital, including 46,91 cases in Wuhan; 3,213 cases were dead, including 2,572 cases in Wuhan; 67,803 cases were diagnosed, including 5,008 cases in Wuhan.
The provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported: 137 new cases of asymptomatic infections, of which 102 were imported overseas; 11 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day, all of which were imported overseas; 64 medical observations were released on the same day, including 8 cases were imported from abroad; 1095 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation, including 358 cases imported from abroad.
A total of 1355 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, including 935 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, 44 cases in Macau Special Administrative Region and 376 cases in Taiwan.
Mi Feng pointed out that on April 7, the number of local confirmed cases fell below 500, and the number of close contacts still under medical observation has declined for 7 consecutive days. Among the existing confirmed cases and asymptomatic infected persons, the proportion of overseas imports continues to increase, and related cases appear sporadically. With the lifting of Wuhan's control of the separation of Han channels and the increase in the flow of people, it is necessary to adhere to the combination of emergency response and normalized prevention and control, and to accurately carry out epidemic prevention and control work for key links and risks.
